Robert "Bob" Swanson. Pipes for Bob have always been an integral part of his life whether as an avid collector or more recently as a pipe maker. He has been a Charatan collector and smoker for over forty years and since 1975 has been doing repairs and making pipes on an occasional basis. Four years ago, in 2007, he was able to devote himself to making pipes full time.

Perry White was the name of Bob's grandfather - a lifelong pipe smoker. He was Bob's introduction to pipes and it was because of him that Bob began to smoke a pipe. Every Perry White Pipe is made from the best root briar that has been air cured for at least two years and some for as much as 50 years and is totally hand made with absolutely no fills. Each pipe has a hand cut Delrin tenon and is perfectly drilled. Over the years Bob developed a proprietary curing process that promotes the pipes' individual flavor and coolness of the smoke itself. Each stem has the distinctive white ring that marks it as a Perry White pipe and is guaranteed for one from the date of purchase.

All stems are hand made from Vulcanite, Cumberland. To own a Perry White pipe is to is to acquire a pipe of the finest American craftsmanship.
