OUR ESTATE PIPE PURCHASE POLICY:
Pipes2smoke.com is interested in purchasing pipes and pipe collections large and small and receiving trade-ins.
Do you have some pipes you don't use anymore? Has the type/style of pipe that talks to you changed? Or maybe you see a pipe on our site that would suit you. Pipes2smoke.com is where you can sell for cash or trade pipes you no longer use. Once you send in some pipes, we check each one to determine our cash offer or value for a store credit.
We purchase pipes for, on average, 30-50% of the price we expect to sell the pipe(s) for, based on the condition of the pipe and other basics, including market demand and our current inventory. As a rule of thumb, if a pipe has a current resale value of $ 100, we offer $ 40- 50 to purchase that pipe. The only exception to this is with low-value Estate Pipes. We are cannot accept pipes that we value at less than $ 50, because we have fixed costs related to cleaning and listing pipes.
OUR ESTATE TRADE-IN POLICY:
Our policy on accepting trades towards pipes or other merchandise offered by pipes2smoke.com is the same as the above, but we offer up to 55% in trade credit depending on the make. Many of the Estate Pipes we offer come to us as trades rather than by outright purchase. Pipes with a low value are on a sliding percentage.
We ask that you either contact us or call us at 1-888-782-1410 before sending us your pipes. We can then give you an approximate valuation before you send out any pipes. Please don't send us any pipes without contacting us. It will save us both time.
OUR VALUATION OF YOUR ESTATES: Whether for trade or sale, we will give you an exact valuation after we receive your pipes. Then you can decide to:
1) Have the choice to have the pipes returned at our cost.
2) Have the trade credit issued to your account.
3) Ask for payment by check or PayPal.
However, we will not negotiate the values, except where we have made an obvious mistake (it happens).
We reserve the right to refuse any items for purchase or trade for any reason we deem fit; e.g. poor condition, missing pieces, cracked, alterations etc.
All pipes should be sent USPS, United States Postal Service with tracking.
